Key Responsibilities

Server-Side Development: Build, optimize, and maintain Node.js applications and APIs that support various products and services at Revocept.
Database Management: Design and manage data models using SQL or NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB), ensuring data integrity and performance.
API Integration: Collaborate with frontend developers and third-party services to implement RESTful APIs, GraphQL queries, or other communication protocols.
Code Review & Best Practices: Participate in code reviews, contribute to coding standards, and ensure high-quality, readable code.
Performance & Scalability: Identify bottlenecks and optimize application performance, ensuring the infrastructure scales to handle high traffic and data loads.
Security & Compliance: Implement best practices for data protection, user authentication, and overall application security to maintain compliance with industry standards.
Collaboration & Documentation: Work closely with cross-functional teams—including Frontend, QA, DevOps, and Product—to align technical implementations with business objectives. Document all relevant processes, methodologies, and architecture.

Requirements

3+ Years of Experience: Proven professional experience in Node.js development and an understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks.
Expertise in Databases: Hands-on experience with SQL or NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB), including data modeling and performance tuning.
API Design & Development: Strong background in designing and consuming RESTful APIs; familiarity with GraphQL is a plus.
Understanding of Cloud Environments: Exposure to AWS, Azure, or similar platforms for deploying and scaling applications.
Security Best Practices: Knowledge of common security vulnerabilities and techniques for securing Node.js-based applications.
Version Control: Proficiency with Git and branching models in collaborative environments.
Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex software issues and create effective solutions.
Excellent Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for remote collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
Team Player: Willingness to participate in an agile environment, collaborate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings.
